Island Skipper Charters
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to Island Skipper Charters. By booking a private boat charter, accessing our digital platforms, or securing an itinerary with us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please review these operational policies carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Booking, Rates, and Confirmation
- Private Charters Only: All reservations are secured exclusively for private use. Island Skipper Charters does not operate shared passenger tours or fixed public excursion routes.
- Dynamic Quotes: Baseline rates vary by duration (Half-Day, Full-Day, Sunset Cruise) and custom routing requests. Base pricing structures are outlined in your initial itinerary proposal.
- Reservation Deposit: To lock in your preferred date and vessel availability, a deposit or full upfront booking validation is required. No dates are held or guaranteed without a validated transaction.
2. Weather and Captain’s Authority
- Safety First: Your safety is our absolute operational mandate. The assigned Bahamian captain maintains ultimate authority over vessel navigation, route modifications, and maritime safety protocols.
- Weather Cancellations: All sea operations depend entirely on real-time maritime conditions in Nassau and outlying cays. If severe weather or heavy swells compromise safe passage, Island Skipper Charters reserves the right to postpone or cancel the charter.
- Weather Resolution: In the event of a weather-forced cancellation by the captain, we will coordinate directly with you to reschedule your experience to a better day or issue a full deposit refund—completely on your terms.
3. Custom Itineraries and Routing
- Flexible Execution: While sample itineraries (such as Rose Island or Green Cay runs) are utilized as baseline structures, exact routes can be dynamically customized.
- Operational Limits: Changing pace or adjusting stops on the fly is fully permitted within your booked time matrix, provided the captain confirms the requested waters are safe for navigation.
- Exclusions: Base charter rates include the vessel, licensed captain, crew, fuel, standard snorkeling gear, ice, water, and local sodas. Premium catering, alcoholic beverage packages, or custom destination entry fees must be arranged and verified prior to departure.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling (Client-Initiated)
- Standard Adjustments: Because your vessel and crew are blocked exclusively for your party, client-initiated cancellations must be communicated to our operations desk within the timeline specified during your checkout confirmation.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made outside of the approved notification window may result in a forfeiture of the deposit to cover baseline operational and logistical commitments.
5. Guest Conduct and Liability
- Prohibited Behavior: Dangerous behavior, structural damage to the vessel, or failure to follow the crew’s safety briefings will result in the immediate termination of the charter without a refund.
- Liability Waiver: Chartering a marine vessel involves inherent open-water risks (swimming, snorkeling, interacting with marine life). By boarding, all guests acknowledge these environmental elements and agree that Island Skipper Charters is held harmless against accidental injury or loss of personal property.
6. Digital Platform and Communications
- Inquiry Support: Our digital forms, direct text vectors, and WhatsApp communication channels are intended for fast, direct booking coordination and custom quote generation.
- Data Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate party sizes, contact details, and scheduling constraints when interacting with our concierge team.
If you have any questions or need to modify your booking parameters, please reach out to our operations desk directly.
